The Sealyham
The gallant little terrier from Pembrokeshire

O On an estate called Sealyham in Haverfordwest,

a dog was needed for courage and zest.

A sporting Gent, Captain Edwards was his name,

started breeding for a dog with courage and brain.

It had to be sporting and go to earth.

This was the beginning of the Sealyhams birth,

to kill rats and fetch badgers out of their sets.

He never dreamed they would eventually be housepets.

They are affectionate, loving with a joy of giving.

Hardy, comical with a love for living.

To have one, you have a real pal and friend

and devotion until their very end.
