He weighed 27 lb and it was said that he gave the breed the type and size that everybody wanted. The breed had already changed a good deal from Captain Edward´s type of Sealyham of 12 lb. Peer Gynt was used several times and he was the beginning of the "modern sealyham".

Roger Bach
Roger was bred by Fred Lewis who also introduced the breed to the public before the First World War. 1908 the Sealyham Terrier Club was formed and the breed was recognized by the English Kennel Club in 1910. Mr Fred Lewis in Haverfordwest was a personal friend of Captain Edwards and one of the early breeders.
Welsh General
Welsh General was a very good hunting dog and owned by the famous Captain Lucas. It was said about this dog that he was able to gallop alongside a horse and jump a five barred gate.
1912 the Sealyham Terrier Breeders and Badger Digging Association was formed to promote and protect the working instincts of the breed.
Ch Chawston Bess and Ch Chawston Betty
It is said that these dogs showed distinct Fox Terrier features. Much higher on the leg.
Ch Dandy Bach and Ch St Bride´s Demon
St Bride´s Demon, born 1909, by Peer Gynt - St Bride´s Fury, was the breeds first Champion in 1911. Dandy Bach, born 1908, by Peer Gynt -Benhines Fach got his Championship 1912.
